Why do we disciple a child?

“Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it” Proverb 22:6

As a ministry we believe that children can transform their families and communities if they are evangelized, discipled and equipped with self-sustaining skills. Rural communities of Uganda have over 6 children per household and we see each child as the future transformed family that God us called too.

How our discipleship works?

Transform families has two priorities one is to evangelize and disciple each child that has come into our hand to make them disciples our Lord Jesus Christ through the local church . Two the child becomes an ambassador of the gospel into their family and introduces us to disciple the entire family as we identify their needs and interests then introduce the family to trade skill  of their choice. After graduation the families become a model home in the community and we empower them to start a family business to be able to take care of their needs.

A. Outreach and  Discipleship

Our skilling project is a both an outreach and discipleship tool in the community . Every family that comes into our hands they go through bible studies to be exposed to the gospel.

B. Train A Trade Skill

• CONDITION
  Ugandan households in rural areas live below the poverty line, savoring on $1.5 per day and some nothing. Women and children make up the majority due to lack of education, early pregnancies, widowed, single parenting, domestic violence and polygamous marriages.
  They are all striving and their families to better themselves but have no access to skills to help have a transformed life.
• SOLUTION
  Transform Families ministries offers vocational training program that provides employable skills in sewing, baking, welding, poultry cosmetology and home gardening all infused with Christian discipleship. We believe the only way you can transform lives of the people is by teaching and equipping them to work.
  The training give opportunity to the families to learn a skill and supported to start a business of there own and be able to take care of their family needs.

C. Soft Micro Loans and Financial management

Many Families do not have access to capital even when they may have a big dream because of the high interest rates of our banks. When they are equipped and financially supported with soft micro loans which they return with no interest rates to support other families they will flourish but also we can’t ignore the aspect of training families’ financial management and saving because it is big challenge.
